About the player
David Vitsyok made his professional debut for Viktoria Köln in the FVM-Pokal against Aachen-Brand, keeping a clean sheet as the team won 8:0. It was the first senior appearance for a goalkeeper.
Vitsyok came through the youth ranks at Fortuna Düsseldorf before moving on in 2023 to SC Rot-Weiß Oberhausen, where he played in the U17 DFB Youth League. He joined Viktoria Köln in 2024 and has since split his time between the club's U19 side in the U19 DFB Youth League and training with the first-team squad in the 3. Liga. On 2 April 2026 he signed his first professional contract with Viktoria Köln, formalising his place in the senior set-up after months of involvement around the first team.
Since then he has been named in the matchday squad eight times. The cup clean sheet against Aachen-Brand remains the clearest marker of his progress so far.
