About the player
Denys Miroshnichenko came through Kryvbas's youth academy and made his senior debut for the club in a match against Dynamo Kyiv. A loan spell at Dnipro followed, though he never featured for the first team there. When Kryvbas ran into financial trouble, he moved to Karpaty.
Miroshnichenko joined Oleksandriya, where he made 89 appearances and scored four goals. A spell at Dnipro-1 followed.
His clearest moment on the scoresheet came in a match against Dynamo Kyiv, when he snatched it at the death with a goal in the third minute of stoppage time to make it 3-3 — the twelfth time in Ukrainian Premier League history that Dynamo had conceded a decisive goal in added time.
Off the pitch, he was stripped of the Karpaty captaincy after speaking Russian ahead of a friendly against the Swedish club GAIS, with Vladyslav Baboglo taking over the armband.
