Honglin Dong

Dong Honglin started his senior career with Dalian Yifang, and stayed long enough to pick up a China League One title with the club in 2017. First-team chances were scarce in that spell — four appearances across two seasons — and the move that put him in regular football came in 2019, when he joined Chongqing Lifan, going on to make 29 appearances and score three goals there.

A single season at Changchun Yatai followed in 2022, limited to seven matches, before Suzhou Dongwu gave him the platform to rebuild his numbers: 35 appearances and five goals in 2023. That form carried him to Nanjing City, where he arrived in July 2024. He has since become one of the more productive forwards on the books there, with 38 appearances and eight goals for the club so far.

Dong plays as a centre-forward, right-footed, and at 188cm he offers a physical presence up front that clubs have used in different ways over the years — Wikipedia's own infobox has listed him at various points as a midfielder, forward and even a defender, though outlets including Transfermarkt and Chinese sports media such as Tencent News and Dongqiudi are consistent in describing him as a striker. He has not been capped by the Chinese national team.
