Edwin Andrés Cardona Bedoya

Cardona came up through Atlético Nacional's academy and made his first-team debut in 2009. The club let him go two years later, and he spent time on loan at Independiente Santa Fe and Junior de Barranquilla before Nacional brought him back for the 2014 season. That spell produced three Colombian championships and a run to the Copa Sudamericana final, along with the tournament's best young player award.

The move that changed things came in December 2014, when Monterrey signed him from Nacional. Three seasons in Mexico led to a loan at Boca Juniors for 2017/18, where he won the Argentine league title. Boca brought him back in 2020 for another loan, this time adding the Argentine Cup. In between, he moved through Pachua and Tijuana.

January 2022 brought a permanent switch to Racing, in Avellaneda, before a return to Colombian football with América de Cali in 2023. He rejoined Atlético Nacional in May 2024, a decade after his first exit from the club, and now wears the number 10 shirt there.

With the Colombian national team, Cardona has scored six goals in 45 appearances and was part of the squads that took bronze at the Copa América in both 2016 and 2021.
