About the player
Rengifo forced his way into the conversation at Atlético Nacional with a single substitute appearance. Sent on against Deportes Quindío in the Copa Colombia on 27 August 2025, the forward scored on his professional debut.
He is a product of La Cantera, the club's academy based in Guarne, and by the end of 2025 he was already being talked about as one of the more valuable Sub-20 players in the Colombian league. That debut goal against Quindío came inside a run to the Copa Colombia title.
Still registered as a youth player at the time, with his contract running to the end of 2026, Rengifo was lined up for a move to professional status in January 2026. He wears the number 19 shirt at senior level.
There is no record of him featuring for Colombia's junior national teams, and by most accounts he has not been part of the Sub-20 selection processes at all. For now, his story is a club one.
