Jhon Adolfo Arias Andrade

Two goals in the second leg of the 2023 Copa Libertadores semi-final against River Plate settled a 5-1 win and carried Fluminense towards the club's first continental title.

He turned professional at Patriotas Boyacá in 2018, with a loan spell at Llaneros the same year that brought 31 appearances and five goals. A move to América de Cali followed in 2020, and he won the Categoría Primera A in his first season there.

Beyond the Libertadores, he won the Recopa Sudamericana in 2024 and the Campeonato Carioca in 2022 and 2023. He took the Bronze Ball at the 2023 FIFA Club World Cup and was named in the teams of the year for the Libertadores, the Carioca, the Brazilian championship and South America.

Wolverhampton Wanderers paid around €20m for him in 2025. In 2026 Palmeiras brought him back to Brazil for €25m, spread over four years, after he turned down an approach from Flamengo. He won the Campeonato Paulista in his first year at the club.

With Colombia he has 43 caps and seven goals as of July 2026. His first international goal came on 26 March 2024 against Romania.

Not everything has been smooth. After a match against Vitória in April 2025 he criticised the referee sharply over a penalty that was not given. In August 2026 he injured his right hamstring against Santos, with a return expected the following month.
