About the player
Estalin Segura came through the youth ranks at Universidad Católica before his path took him through Ecuador's lower tiers rather than straight into the top flight. Vinotinto FC and a loan spell at América de Quito followed, then three seasons at Guayaquil City between 2022 and 2024 that gave the centre-back a settled run of first-team football away from the country's biggest clubs.
The move that raised his profile came in 2025, when Segura joined Aucas as a free agent and started 38 matches across the season.
On 6 February 2026, Emelec confirmed his signing, again on a free transfer. He wears the number 4 shirt at the club.
