About the player
Eran Tuypens made his first-team debut for Antwerp in a Jupiler Pro League match against Standard Liège, coming on as a substitute in the 81st minute of a 1-1 draw. His first start followed against KVC Westerlo, and by May 2026 he had made five appearances for the club without scoring.
His route to the Bosuil ran through several youth spells, starting at Eendracht Hekelgem before moving on to Eendracht Aalst and then KSC Lokeren, before he joined Antwerp's academy in 2020. He signed his first professional contract with the club in February 2024, and this year he agreed an extension that keeps him under contract until 2029.
Tuypens was already part of the matchday squad for a Champions League group-stage fixture against FC Porto back in November 2023, though he did not get onto the pitch that night. He now wears the number 27 shirt, having previously worn number 56 in the club's youth ranks.
