About the player
A goalless draw with Torpedo in October 2023 was a night when the goalkeeper stood out. Four separate ratings, Rustat's analysts among them, named Egor Lyubakov the best player of the match.
The route there was a long one. He came through the Konoplev academy and the youth side of Krylia Sovetov in Samara, and made his professional debut for Krylia Sovetov-2 in 2017. From January 2019 he played for Murom, having joined as a free agent, and stayed until the summer of 2022.
Tyumen signed him as a free agent on 4 July 2022. In 2022/23 the club won the Second Division, Group 4, and Lyubakov kept 12 clean sheets in 24 games.
On 9 July 2024 he joined Kaliningrad's Baltika for €130,000. In his first season there, 2024/25, the club won the First League, and he was part of that team. His Russian Premier League debut came on 2 May 2026 against Rubin. His contract runs until the end of 2027.
