Emerson Barbosa Rodrigues dos Santos

Emerson made his top-flight debut for Santos on 3 December 2017, coming off the bench in a 1-1 draw with Avaí, before the club moved him down to its youth side the following year. What followed was a long spell in Brazilian football's lower divisions, with spells at Tupi, CRAC, Vitória-ES and Ferroviário-CE that took him through Serie D and Serie C without a settled home.

The turn came at Tombense, where a loan interruption at Pouso Alegre in 2022 gave way to a permanent move that August. Over two seasons there he became a regular fixture, rising from 6 Serie B appearances in the second half of 2022 to 17 Serie C matches in 2024, when he also scored his first senior goal.

That run persuaded Guaraní Campinas to sign him in August 2024 on a contract running to 2028, and he wasted no time settling in, playing 10 Serie B matches before the year was out. He has since become one of the side's fixtures at left-back: by May 2026 he had strung together 21 consecutive starts in Serie C and the state championship.

An injury briefly halted that streak, but Emerson returned to the starting line-up on 5 August 2026 away to Inter de Limeira, playing the full 90 minutes and setting up Cauã Jesus in a 2-0 win. He has never featured for Brazil's national team.
