About the player
Erick Ladines came through the academy at Independiente del Valle before his career took him elsewhere. In January 2021 he moved to Nueve de Octubre, where he played for four seasons, with only occasional appearances in Ecuador's top flight.
Guayaquil City signed the defender as a free agent in January 2025, handing him a contract running to the end of 2026. The move gave the left-footed centre-back a route back into regular Liga Pro football, and by 2026 he had established himself in the squad, featuring in six league matches that year.
His progress at the club was interrupted in early November 2026, when Ladines suffered a serious injury, a torn cruciate ligament, sidelining him for an extended period. He has not yet featured for Ecuador at any level, though his age still leaves him eligible for the under-23 side.
