About the player
Twelve goals in eleven matches. That was Ethan Hoard's 2023 with RKC Third Coast in USL League Two, and it came in the middle of a college career that had been steadier than spectacular.
The Wisconsin-born forward spent 2019 to 2021 at Green Bay Phoenix, where he made 32 appearances and scored five, adding an assist. He moved to UC Davis Aggies for 2022 and 2023 and improved on that: 38 matches, eight goals, three assists. Late in the 2023 season Davis used him at the back, and he finished the campaign playing as a defender.
He signed as a free agent with Northern Colorado Hailstorm FC for 2024 and had his fullest year as a professional in the United States — 35 matches across USL League One, the US Open Cup and the Jägermeister Cup, 14 goals and eight assists.
In January 2025 he left for Serbia, again on a free transfer, joining FK Jedinstvo Ub. His half-season in the SuperLiga brought six goals and two assists in 17 matches; the club's own website later described him as one of the division's leading scorers. The following campaign, with Jedinstvo in the Prva Liga, was quieter: eight league matches without a goal, plus two in the Serbian Cup.
On 19 January 2026 he moved to OFK Beograd for a reported €120,000. He played 16 matches and scored three before the season closed. Six appearances into 2026/27, he is still waiting for his first goal of the campaign.
