Facundo Almada

Facundo Almada came through Rosario Central's youth academy and made his first-team debut on 2 March 2019, in a match against Belgrano, according to Olé. He had already been part of the squad that gave the club its first Copa Argentina title, beating Gimnasia y Esgrima on penalties in the final on 6 December 2018. Over four seasons in Rosario Central's first team, from 2019 to 2023, Almada made 82 appearances and scored 7 goals, wearing the number 32 shirt.

In January 2023 he moved to Mexico, joining Mazatlán FC on loan with an option to buy. A year later, in January 2024, Mazatlán exercised that option, acquiring 60% of his rights for 500,000 dollars and extending his contract through 2026, according to Punto MX. He took the number 5 shirt at the club. That contract outlasted the team itself: in April 2026, Mazatlán ceased to compete in Liga MX after its franchise was sold to Atlante, a deal completed on 23 April 2026. Almada moved on to Puebla, where he continues to wear number 5.

Almada has no appearances for Argentina at senior or youth level. Reports linking him to a call-up for the 2022 World Cup were mistaken: the player summoned to that squad, as a replacement for the injured Joaquín Correa, was his brother, Thiago Almada.

Standing 179 cm and weighing 82 kg, he was born in Rosario on 10 July 1998.
