Franco Zanelatto Téllez

Zanelatto arrived at FBC Melgar in the last days of December 2025 with no fee attached to him. OFI Crete had torn up his contract by mutual consent, and Melgar announced the signing within days, adding a free agent who joined up with the squad at the start of 2026.

He was born in Asunción and came into the professional game through the Marcet Football academy in Spain. Universidad San Martín de Porres gave him his first professional football in 2019, and he stayed until the end of 2021, making 34 league appearances and scoring five goals.

The move to Alianza Lima came in December 2021, though he spent 2022 on loan at Alianza Atlético, where the goals came more freely: seven in 28 matches. He returned to Alianza Lima for 2023 and won the Torneo Apertura with them, playing 23 league games and scoring four. He also featured five times in that year's Copa Libertadores without scoring. Peruvian press at the time noted that he had become an unexpected source of goals for the club.

Zanelatto took Peruvian citizenship in December 2022 and has represented the country since. His debut came in October 2023, in a 2026 World Cup qualifier against Argentina. By June 2024 he had six caps and no goals.

The Greek move, in 2024, did not work. He signed for OFI Crete as a free agent and played four Super League matches, scoring none, before the contract was ended. He is a right-footed forward and wears number 77 at Melgar.
