Heorhii Sudakov

Georgiy Sudakov scored four times as Shakhtar Donetsk beat LNZ 5:1 on 6 October 2024.

He joined Shakhtar's academy in 2020 and made 100 league appearances and scored 29 goals for the club. Sudakov won the Ukrainian title three times with Shakhtar. He was named the league's best young player for the 2022/23 season, then stepped up a level, taking the best player award in 2023/24 and being voted Ukraine's footballer of the year in both 2023 and 2024.

In August 2025 he moved to Benfica on loan with an obligation to buy the following summer, a deal that also left Shakhtar entitled to a share of any future sale. He made his debut for the Lisbon club on 12 September 2025 and scored his first goal eight days later. He went on to make 22 league appearances and score four goals in his first season in Portugal.

Sudakov has represented Ukraine at senior level, including at Euro 2024, where he played in all three of the team's group-stage matches. In December 2025 a thigh knock picked up against Farense in the Portuguese Cup led to conflicting reports about the extent of the injury, with head coach José Mourinho playing down its severity.
