About the player
Gabri Martínez joined Barcelona's academy in 2012 and spent four years there before moving on to Damm. He then joined Girona's youth system and the B team before making his first-team debut in August 2021.
Girona loaned him out twice. In 2022-23 he went to San Fernando, making 36 appearances and scoring five goals. The following season he moved to Mirandés, where he scored nine goals in 41 Segunda División games. He left Girona for SC Braga on a free transfer when his contract expired in June 2024, agreeing a deal that runs to 2029.
At Braga he has played as a forward. He is yet to win a trophy with the club.
Martínez's only involvement with a Spain side beyond club level came in 2022, when he made a single appearance for the under-19 team.
