The number that stands out most in Hidde Jurjus's file is the one he never made.
Jurjus came through the youth ranks at De Graafschap , having joined the club as a boy from local side Longa '30.
The PSV move interrupted that. When PSV did not turn to him, he returned to De Graafschap, first on loan and then permanently, and later spent a season in Germany with KFC Uerdingen 05 .
His move to FC Groningen in 2023 marked the clearest high point of his career to date. Wearing number 21, he became a regular in the side, making 37 appearances across league and cup as the club worked its way back into the Eredivisie. In 2026 he moved on to FC Volendam .
At international level, Jurjus's involvement has been limited to two caps for the Netherlands under-21 side in 2016 — recognition at a younger age group rather than a route to the senior team.
