Hwang In-beom

Hwang In-beom stayed at Daejeon Citizen until 2018, then spent a season on loan at Asan Mugunghwa to fulfil his alternative military service.

His move to Europe came in August 2020, when Rubin Kazan signed him for a fee above €2.5 million. Two years later he joined Olympiacos in Greece, before a September 2023 transfer to Red Star Belgrade for around €5 million — a record fee for the club and for the Serbian league at the time.

Feyenoord signed him in September 2024 for a fee reported at between €5 million and €7 million, on a contract until 2028. He wore the number 16 shirt and was named the club's Player of the Month that September, though he did not win a trophy during his time there. In July 2026 he moved on to Porto in a deal worth around €4.5 million, with a possible rise to €5 million, signing until 2029 and keeping the number 16.

With South Korea, Hwang In-beom has featured at the 2022 World Cup and the 2023 Asian Cup, and won gold with the Olympic team at the 2018 Asian Games. He was named best player of the 2019 East Asian Championship, which South Korea also won. At the 2026 World Cup, he scored and set up a goal in a 2-1 win over the Czech Republic.
