About the player
Ismael Silva's route to Grozny began far from Russia, where Crateús gave him his first senior football in 2012. The move that shaped his career came within the year, when Kalmar FF signed him on a five-year deal and took him to Sweden. He stayed five seasons for the club and building the profile that eventually took him further north.
In August 2017, Akhmat Grozny brought him to Russia, and the midfielder settled into a spell in Chechnya. In 2021 he left for Saudi Arabia, joining Al Faisaly. A period without a club followed before Akhmat brought him back in July 2024, agreeing a one-plus-one contract.
Silva has never been capped at international level, and no team trophies or individual awards from his time at Kalmar, Akhmat or Al Faisaly appear in the record.
