J. Lovera

Jorge Eduardo Lovera Rivas grew up in Santa Cruz de la Sierra before a January 2025 move took him to Venezuela with Monagas SC. He arrived with a career already built through the Bolivian league's mid-table clubs, having come through Guabirá, then moved on to Real Potosí, Real Tomayapo and Blooming before the switch abroad.

At Monagas SC he featured in 13 league matches without finding the net, a spell that ran only a few months before he returned to Bolivian football. The step to Venezuela marked the one clear departure from a career otherwise spent entirely within his home country, and it came at a point when he already had close to a decade of senior appearances behind him, stretching back to his 2016 debut for Guabirá.

Lovera's name surfaced on the international stage in September 2016, when Bolivia included him in a 30-man provisional squad for World Cup qualifiers against Brazil and Ecuador.

Officially listed as a midfielder, he has also been used as a holding midfielder and, at times, as a defender, reflecting a versatility that has followed him through his various clubs. Guabirá remained the constant in his career, a club he left and rejoined more than once, most recently in 2024, before his move to Venezuela.
