About the player
Jesús Alejandro Quintero began his career at Estudiantes de Mérida before moving through the ranks at Mineros de Guayana, and it was that grounding that eventually took him to Deportivo Táchira, where he spent the bulk of his formative years as a professional between 2020 and 2023. A loan spell followed at Colombian side Deportivo Pasto, giving the defender a season away from Venezuela before he returned to Táchira in mid-2024 for a second stint that ran until the summer of 2025.
Quintero has since joined Caracas FC. At 190cm, he offers the kind of physical presence clubs look for at the back, a trait that has shaped much of his role through his career so far.
On the international stage, Quintero has represented Venezuela's Olympic side, featuring in a qualifying match for the under-23 team in the buildup to the Olympic Games in 2024. A call-up to the senior national team has yet to follow.
Born in Puerto La Cruz, in the Venezuelan state of Anzoátegui, Quintero's move to Caracas FC brings him to one of the country's most prominent clubs.
