About the player
On 1 April 2025, Jimi Gower's name appeared on an Arsenal team sheet for a Premier League match against Fulham. Arsenal won 2-1. Gower did not leave the bench, and he never did play a competitive match for the senior side.
He had joined from Southend United in 2017, moved up through the youth teams and signed his first professional contract in July 2023.
When his Arsenal contract expired in the summer of 2025, Gower left London as a free agent and signed for Moreirense in Portugal, on terms running to 30 June 2028. No fee changed hands.
The first season in Portugal brought nine appearances in the Liga Portugal and one in the Taça de Portugal, without a goal or an assist. In 2026/27 he has so far played once for the club's under-23 side in the Liga Next Gen U23.
No England call-up, at any age group, has been recorded.
