About the player
Jorge Alastuey Aperte joined FC Barcelona's academy in 2016, spending six years at La Masia before a move to SSC Napoli's Primavera side in 2022. His path from there ran through Spain's lower divisions and Polish football before taking him to Major League Soccer.
At CD Teruel in 2023–24, in the Primera Federación, he made 26 appearances and scored twice. A season at ŁKS Łódź followed, split between the first team in Poland's top flight, where he featured four times, and the reserve side in the second tier.
Alastuey's move to Austin FC II in 2025. Across 39 matches in MLS Next Pro, he scored 19 goals.
Before his academy years in Spain, Alastuey spent time at AD Stadium Casablanca as a young boy, and had a spell at Real Zaragoza's youth setup before Barcelona took him on.
