At Portsmouth's under-18s in 2022/23, Koby Mottoh scored 15 goals in 18 matches. The position has followed him since: he is listed as a forward and a winger, but the right-sided defensive role keeps reappearing on his record.

Mottoh, born Kendra Koby Reuben Chidiyelum Mottoh in Essex, joined Arsenal 's academy in 2013 and left at 14. Portsmouth took him on a free transfer in July 2022. His first-team involvement there came in 2023/24 and stayed at the margins: two appearances in the EFL Cup and three in the EFL Trophy, without a goal.

Bournemouth signed him on a free in July 2024, and he put his name to his first professional contract on 11 July that year. In 2024/25 he scored seven times in six Professional Development League matches for the under-21s, adding two goals in four Premier League Cup games. The following season brought eight goals in seven PDL matches and two more in two Premier League Cup outings.

In July 2026 he moved to Moreirense , who acquired 100% of his rights from Bournemouth without a fee and handed him a three-year deal running to 30 June 2029. He was placed initially with the club's under-23 side in the Liga Revelação, with the intention that he work alongside the first team. He wears 77.

There is no record of him appearing for England at any level.
