Leonardo Roque Albano Gil Chiguay

Gil started the 2018 Copa Argentina final and played 52 minutes before he was substituted; Rosario Central beat Gimnasia y Esgrima (LP) on penalties after a 1–1 draw.

The route in was long. He passed through Ferrocarril YCF and Atlético Boxing Club as a boy before joining the C.A.I. academy in 2004, staying five years and making his senior debut for the club in 2009. Sixty appearances and a single goal followed over four seasons, with a loan to Olimpo in between that produced five goals in 35 games — enough for Olimpo to sign him outright in 2013.

Estudiantes de La Plata paid around US$1 million for half of his federative rights in January 2015. A season on loan at Talleres de Córdoba brought 29 appearances, and by July 2017 he had gone to Rosario Central for €0.95 million.

As Chile named him in its Ideal Eleven for the 2021 tournament, and Colo-Colo signed him permanently that December for €1.0 million.

He had taken Chilean nationality in 2019 and was called into a national-team microcycle in May 2021, though no cap followed. He joined Huracán as a free agent in January 2025 on a two-year deal.
