Liu Guobao

Liu Guobao came through the Shandong Taishan academy, which he joined in 2016 under the club's former name, Shanghai Lucky Star, and made three senior appearances for the first team in 2021. Rather than settling into the squad, he moved out on loan almost immediately, spending time at Xi'an Wolves, where he scored once in ten appearances. Two further loans followed years apart: a brief spell at Changchun Yatai, and a move early in 2026 to Qingdao Hainiu, also known as Qingdao Jonoon.

At international level, Liu has represented China at youth level, winning three caps for the China under-20 side across 2022 and 2023. He was also part of the China under-19 squad during qualification for the 2023 AFC U-20 Asian Cup, where he had a hand in a 3-1 win over Myanmar by winning two penalties in the match.

A centre-forward by trade, Liu has spent much of his early career away from his parent club, moving between loan spells rather than establishing himself at Shandong Taishan itself. His path through Xi'an Wolves, Changchun Yatai and now Qingdao Jonoon reflects a player still searching for a consistent run of first-team football.
