Rio de Janeiro produced him, but Fortaleza raised him. Lucas Emanuel joined the club's academy in 2023, moving up through the under-17 and under-20 sides before a step up to the under-23 group in 2025, the kind of steady progression through the youth ranks that clubs point to when a forward eventually breaks through rather than arrives from nowhere.

That breakthrough came in 2026, when he was promoted to the first-team squad and made his senior debut. Fortaleza rewarded the move by extending his contract to December 2028, a vote of confidence in a player still working his way into regular first-team football. His early appearances have been spread across competitions rather than concentrated in one: seven matches in the Série B, a handful in the Copa do Brasil, and single outings in the Campeonato Cearense and Copa do Nordeste.

The clearest marker of his season came in August 2026, when he scored against Palmeiras in the Copa do Brasil, a goal against one of the country's leading clubs that stands as the first real highlight of his time in the first team.
