About the player
Maja Dimitrijević joined Spartak Myjava in July 2025, and the club, which has won four consecutive Slovak league titles, reached the second round of the UEFA Women's Champions League in the 2025/2026 season.
She came up through Serbian football, playing for the youth side ZFK Lavice Leskovac from 2004 to 2008 before moving to ŽFK Mašinac PZP Niš, where she stayed until 2015. That year she moved to Slovakia and joined FC Union Nové Zámky, who finished third in the 1. Liga in 2015/2016.
Her most decorated years came at Partizán Bardejov, whom she joined in February 2017. She served as team captain there. Partizán won the Slovak league title in 2016/2017 and the Slovak Cup in both 2016/2017 and 2018/2019. She left in 2021.
Slovenia was the next stop. She played the 2021/2022 season for ŽNK Pomurje, then moved to ŽNK Olimpija Ljubljana in 2022. She also appeared for ŽNK Mura, the successor to Pomurje, in 2022/2023. Across the Slovenian top flight she made 79 appearances and scored 22 goals.
She has represented Serbia at senior level, and one of her starts came in a UEFA World Cup qualifier, where she played the full 90 minutes.
