About the player
Minela Gačanica scored 43 goals in 20 league games for ŽFK Breznica in 2021–22. That season took her from Emina Mostar, the club where she had come through the youth system from 2014, to the champions of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
SFK 2000 signed her in 2022, and the goals kept coming: 58 in 37 league appearances. She won two Bosnian Premier League titles and two Bosnian Cups there. For a forward who had spent her early years in Mostar, it was a move to a new club, and she delivered at once.
In July 2024 she went abroad, joining Beşiktaş J.K. in Turkey. The step up was less productive in front of goal.
She joined PAOK Women in Greece on 1 July 2025, and the scoring returned. In 24 league appearances for the club she has 23 goals.
Gačanica made her senior debut for Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2019. She has won 33 caps and scored three goals, and has played in the UEFA Women's Nations League, in qualifying for the Women's World Cup and in qualifying for the Women's Euro.
