About the player
Mijke Roelfsema is a left-footed defender whose career has taken her across three countries.
Her route to that point began in the Netherlands. She was born in The Hague and has represented the Dutch at youth level. Her first club abroad was AaB Fodbold in Denmark, where she also played in defence.
Calgary was the next step, across the Atlantic, in the Canadian Premier League Women. From there she joined Rangers Women, where she plays with the number 11 on her shirt. It is an unusual number for a defender, and it is the one she has worn at the club.
