Maxim Ignatyev

Ignatyev came into the professional game through media football. Between 2020 and 2022 he turned out for Krasava (Moscow) and Olymp-Dolgoprudny-2, and with the media club Amkal he collected his first winners' medals: the Moscow Celebrity Cup in 2021 and the media portion of the PARI Premier Cup in 2022. Before that he had been in the youth systems of Vybor-Odintsovo.

The league career began in the Second League with Kuban-Kholding in the 2022/23 season, followed by a spell at Amkar-Perm from 2023. In February 2024 he went back to Amkal, then left within the same month: on 23 February he signed for Spartak Kostroma. Dmitry Egorov, president of Broke Boys, described the earlier move to Amkal as a poach.

At Kostroma he settled into the side as a regular starter on the left of the defence. He was one of the key players in the club's Second League Division A title in 2024/25, the season that carried Spartak up to the First League, and in 2025/26 he played 33 First League matches and scored once.

He did not give up media football along the way. In 2025 he won the sixth season of the Media Football League with Amkal, who beat Broke Boys 2:0 in the final.

In July 2026 Rubin Kazan bought him from Spartak Kostroma for 150,000 euros on a contract running to 2029 — his first club in the Russian Premier League, six years after his first senior appearances in media football. He has not been called up by Russia at any level.
