About the player
Marcus Eskildsen has spent his entire career inside the Odense Boldklub academy under goalkeeper coach Lars Bjerring, who has overseen his development since childhood.
The 2024/25 season marked a turning point. Eskildsen played for OB's U19 side in the Danish youth league while also featuring for the U18 team, and he was named in Odense's first-team squad as the club fought for promotion out of the 1. Division.
That recognition was confirmed in the summer of 2025. With Odense back in the top flight, Eskildsen signed a new contract running until 30 June 2028 and was formally promoted into the first-team group.
His form at youth level has also brought international recognition. Eskildsen has represented Denmark at both U18 and U19 level, and was called into the U18 squad for a friendly against Germany in May 2025. He has since been included among the players considered for the U19 European Championship in 2026.
