Marko Poletanović

Poletanović came home in February 2025. Vojvodina, the club whose youth system produced him and where he made his senior debut in 2011, paid Wisła Kraków €0.05 million for the midfielder. He had left Novi Sad a decade earlier, in January 2015, when Gent bought him for €0.7 million.

The Belgian move brought him a league title — Gent won the First Division A in 2014–15 — but little settled football. He spent 2015–16 on loan at Zulte Waregem and 2016–17 on loan at Red Star Belgrade. It was during that second loan, on 29 September 2016, that he won his only senior cap for Serbia, in a friendly against Qatar.

After two years at Jagiellonia Białystok he joined Raków Częstochowa in 2020 and won the Polish Cup twice, in 2020–21 and 2021–22, along with the Polish Super Cup in 2021. Before that, a single season in Russia with Tosno had ended with the Russian Cup in 2017–18. Zagłębie Lubin, who paid €0.09 million for him, held him from 2022 to 2024.

His first medal was a Serbian one: the Cup with Vojvodina in 2013–14. He also went a long way with the age-group sides, reaching the final of the 2012 UEFA U-19 Championship, and later played for the U21s. The 2011–12 season, spent on loan at Cement Beočin, sits at the other end of that scale.
