About the player
Braune grew up in Oberhausen and joined Schalke 04's academy in 2011, spending nine years in the club's youth ranks before moving on a free transfer to MSV Duisburg in the summer of 2020. He signed his first professional contract there in February 2022 and made his debut in the 3. Liga against Waldhof Mannheim in January 2023.
The 2024–25 season marked his breakthrough as Duisburg's first-choice goalkeeper. Braune made 32 appearances in the Regionalliga West and kept 17 clean sheets, a run that helped the team win the league title and secure promotion back to the 3. Liga. Duisburg have since extended his contract twice, tying him to the club until June 2029.
