MSV Duisburg ran out comfortable 4-1 winners against Vienna in the Third League's seventh round at the Brita-Arena on Sunday. The visitors took control early and never looked back, moving to within one point of the top spot.
Dominik Kother opened the scoring in the 18th minute and doubled his tally by the quarter-hour mark. To be fair, Vienna started reasonably enough, but the home side's attack lacked any real direction. By then, the visitors were already dictating the tempo.
Frederik Christensen added a third before the break, and Lukas Schleimer found the net at the 45th minute. Conor Noss completed the scoring in the 54th, and Vienna were out of sight by half-time. The home side could not find a response, and the match was effectively over.
