About the player
Tarik Gözüsirin came through Berlin's youth football, moving through SC Staaken 1919 and Tennis Borussia Berlin before joining Hertha BSC's academy, where he won the U19 Bundesliga Nord/Nordost title. Though born in Germany and holding both German and Turkish citizenship, he represented Turkey at U17 level.
His senior career began away from the top divisions, at SV Lichtenberg 47, before a move to VfB Lübeck in 2022. That switch paid off: Gözüsirin helped Lübeck win the Regionalliga Nord and the Schleswig-Holstein Cup, and in the 2023/24 3. Liga season he was the club's top scorer, contributing four goals and nine assists from midfield.
That form took him to SV Wehen Wiesbaden on a free transfer in May 2024, where he has since added the Hessen Cup to his honours. A central midfielder comfortable with either foot, he wears the number 11 shirt in Wiesbaden.
