About the player
Max Besuschkow grew up in Tübingen and moved through VfB Stuttgart's academy from the age of nine. That progression carried through to Germany's youth set-up, where he collected 35 caps across the U15 to U19 levels, scoring six goals along the way and playing for the U17 side at the 2014 UEFA European Under-17 Championship. With Stuttgart he won the German B-Junioren-Meister title in 2013, and two years later added the Mercedes-Benz Elite Cup with Germany's U19s.
A move to Eintracht Frankfurt in January 2017 opened a period defined more by loans than by settled football: spells at Holstein Kiel and, across the border, at Royale Union Saint-Gilloise, before he joined SSV Jahn Regensburg in 2019. There he built a longer run than at previous stops, before a free transfer took him to Hannover 96 in 2022. His time in Hannover also included minutes for the club's second team and a loan to SK Austria Klagenfurt in 2024.
Besuschkow signed for FC Ingolstadt 04 on a free transfer in September 2024. A right-footed midfielder standing 185 cm tall, he wears the number 17 shirt at the club. His path since leaving Stuttgart has been built on short, frequent moves rather than long spells at a single club.
