About the player
Martin Ens grew up in Paderborn and started out at SV Heide Paderborn before joining the SC Paderborn 07 academy in 2014.
He was rewarded with his senior debut for Paderborn in the 2. Bundesliga on 21 January 2024, though first-team opportunities remained scarce and he made just five appearances for the club at that level.
Regular football came instead through a loan move to SC Verl in the 3. Liga for the 2025–26 season. There he became a fixture in the side, making 37 appearances and scoring three goals.
That loan spell led to a further move away from Paderborn, with Ens heading to MSV Duisburg on loan in the 3. Liga.
