Toni Stahl

Toni Stahl grew up in the goal through Cottbus football, moving from SV Leuthen/Klein Oßnig into the youth system at FC Energie Cottbus before a brief spell with SG Groß Gaglow and a return to Energie. From there he joined RB Leipzig's academy and spent a season with Fulham's under-21 side in England, a stretch abroad before he came back to Cottbus in 2019 and worked his way into the first team, making 49 senior appearances. That second spell at Energie also brought his first piece of silverware, the Brandenburg State Cup, in the 2021/22 season.

The move to Hannover 96 in 2022 kept him with the reserves rather than the senior side, but it was there that he had his most productive run: 70 appearances for Hannover 96 II, capped by the Regionalliga Nord title and promotion in 2023/24. It was the clearest team success of his career so far, even if it came a level below the Bundesliga stage.

Stahl moved on to 1. FC Schweinfurt 05 in July 2025, making 29 appearances before a further free transfer to MSV Duisburg in July 2026, where he signed until June 2028. Every move in his career has come without a transfer fee, a keeper built up gradually through Regionalliga and reserve-team football rather than a single breakthrough moment.
