About the player
A move to England at the age of six put Michael Dacosta González on a path that has run almost entirely through English academies, even though the football started at home in Alicante.
His first club was Alicante CF. From 2011 to 2016 he was in the youth set-up at Hércules CF, before he moved to AFC Bournemouth in 2016. He stayed in the academy there until 2024, working through the under-18 and under-21 age groups.
The step towards senior football came in 2024/25. He joined Crawley Town on loan on 10 July 2024, but an injury picked up before the season started kept him out.
A second loan followed at Hartlepool United , in September and October 2025. There he did get on the pitch, making three appearances without scoring before returning to Bournemouth.
