About the player
On 18 January 2026, Nicolas Adriano Schulz struck a long-range shot with his left foot against Internacional in the Campeonato Gaúcho. Ypiranga won 2-1, and Schulz was named man of the match.
His football education began a long way from Rio Grande do Sul. Schulz trained in Portuguese youth academies, at Alverca and Real Massamá, until 2019. Back in Brazil, he moved through a run of clubs in his home state — XV de Novembro-RS, Ivoti-RS, Santa Cruz-RS — before joining Veranópolis at the start of 2021, where he stayed until October 2022.
A short spell at Botafogo-PB in 2022 brought an unusual detour: the club used him as a forward, and he made 25 appearances there. In March 2023 he signed for Cianorte, and within weeks was loaned to Londrina, where he played six matches in Série B between March and December of that year.
The return to Cianorte gave him his steadiest period. He became a regular in the side and won the Taça Paraná with the club in 2025. A loan back to Botafogo-PB in January 2025 was brief; he was soon back in Paraná. In December 2025 he joined Ypiranga-RS as a free agent.
The 2026 season made him Ypiranga's first-choice left-back. He missed one match in the Gaúcho through suspension after a third yellow card, and the club reached the semi-finals. By early 2026 his record with Ypiranga read 15 matches and four goals in Série C, plus eight matches and one goal in the state championship.
