About the player
Nikolaj Juul-Sandberg came through Odense's academy after moving there from his hometown club, Middelfart Boldklub, at the age of 13. He signed his first professional contract with OB in June 2024, and made his senior debut that August in the Danish Cup against, fittingly, Middelfart. His league debut followed in October 2024 against FC Roskilde, and he marked it with a goal.
Odense won the Danish 1st Division in the 2024/25 season and returned to the Superliga, though Juul-Sandberg spent much of the following campaign away from the first-team picture, loaned back to Middelfart from September 2025. He made 24 appearances there and scored once. On his return to Odense, the club extended his contract to 2028.
He has moved steadily through the Danish youth ranks, from the under-16s through to the under-19s. Odense's academy sides have also had success during his time there, winning the U17 Ligaen in the 2023/24 season.
