Olivio Tome

Olívio Tomé has never played outside Benfica's youth system. Born in Lisbon, he moved through the club's age groups without interruption, joining the under-17s and progressing to the under-19s and then the under-23s before stepping up to Benfica B, the club's reserve side, this summer. He wears the number 74 shirt and is contracted to the club until the summer of 2027.

A left winger by trade, though also used further up as a forward, Tomé has made the step into senior-level football in the 2025/26 season, appearing 20 times in Liga Portugal 2 and scoring twice. He has also picked up four yellow cards along the way.

His clearest highlight so far came away from domestic competition. Playing in the Premier League International Cup, Tomé scored in a win over Newcastle United's under-21 side in January 2026, a result that stood out in a tournament his side went on to win.

Progress through Benfica's ranks has been steady rather than dramatic — each move up an age group came at the turn of a season.
