About the player

Omer Hanin left Israel for Germany in 2019 on a free transfer to 1. FSV Mainz 05. Three years at the club were split between the Bundesliga squad, where he made no first-team appearances, and the reserve side in the Regionalliga Südwest, where he made eight. He moved on to FSV Frankfurt in the same division in 2022 and made 27 appearances there, and it was with that club, in the 2022/23 season, that he won the Hessen Cup.

Hanin then stepped up to the 3. Liga with SV Waldhof Mannheim, playing 12 matches in the 2024–2025 season, before a brief return to Israel with Hapoel Haifa in 2025. He went back to Germany soon after, joining MSV Duisburg in the 3. Liga, and has since moved on to TSV Havelse. Every transfer in his career to date has been a free move, without a fee changing hands between clubs.

Before his senior career began, Hanin came through the youth ranks in Israel, with spells at Hapoel Rishon LeZion, Maccabi Tel Aviv and Hapoel Tel Aviv, before returning to Hapoel Rishon LeZion, where his senior career started in 2016. He also represented Israel at youth international level, earning one cap for the under-18s in 2016 and three for the under-19s across 2016 and 2017, and was called up to the under-21 squad in 2018 for UEFA Under-21 European Championship qualifiers, though he did not appear in a match. He has not been capped by the senior national team.

Standing 192cm tall, Hanin is noted by both FotMob and Sofascore as being comfortable with either foot, a trait that shapes how he distributes the ball out of goal.
