About the player
Pedro Ferreira spent eight years in Sporting CP's academy before ever making a senior appearance, joining at 13 and leaving at 21. His professional career began away from Lisbon, on loan at Mafra in the Liga Pro, where he made 29 appearances in the 2018/2019 season. A move to Varzim followed a year later, then, in August 2020, a switch to Danish club AaB, where he stayed for three and a half seasons.
Ferreira joined Santa Clara in January 2024. In the decisive final round against UD Leiria, he scored in a 2-0 win.
In the 2024/2025 Primeira Liga campaign he made 32 appearances and set up two goals, and in 2025/2026 he added 31 league matches alongside six appearances in the UEFA Conference League, where he also provided an assist. He has also featured in the Taça de Portugal and the League Cup.
His development was already visible at youth level, where he won the Portuguese U19 championship with Sporting CP in 2016/2017. He was capped six times for Portugal's U17 side without scoring, but has not been called up to the senior national team.
