About the player
Roberto Carlos Hinojosa Marín came through the youth ranks at Unión Magdalena and made his first-team debut on 20 July 2019, going on to make 116 appearances and score 13 goals for the Santa Marta club across five seasons. That spell established him as an attacking midfielder capable of playing further forward, comfortable operating close to goal rather than screening in front of the back line.
His performances at Unión Magdalena earned him a move abroad in January 2023, when Portimonense signed him on loan with an option to make the deal permanent within eighteen months. The switch to Portugal did not lead to a longer stay, and he returned to Unión Magdalena before the option period had run its course.
Since then, Hinojosa Marín's career has followed a pattern of short loan spells rather than a settled run at one club. Junior de Barranquilla took him on loan in January 2024 for five to six months, in which he made 19 appearances, and Club Llaneros signed him on loan in 2025 through to 1 July. From 3 January 2026, he has been on loan at Bolivia's Blooming, a deal set to run until 31 December 2026.
The moves between clubs and across borders have kept him searching for the extended run of form he found early on at Unión Magdalena, with his current spell at Blooming the latest attempt to re-establish himself.
