Roman Vantukh

Roman Vantukh spent seven years on Dynamo Kyiv's books without ever making his debut for the first team. Between 2019 and 2022 the left-footed defender was farmed out to Olimpik, Oleksandriya, Chornomorets and Dnipro-1.

A loan to Zorya Luhansk in 2022 turned into something more lasting. He made just two appearances and scored once during that spell, but the club signed him on a permanent basis the same year.

Not every episode ran smoothly. In October 2023, playing against Obolon, a rash challenge from Vantukh gave away a penalty against his own side. Worse followed the next month, when a shoulder injury sustained against Polissya required surgery to repair torn ligaments.

At youth level, Vantukh represented Ukraine once at under-18 level in 2015, then made nine appearances for the under-21s between 2018 and 2020, scoring once.
