About the player
Ronaldo Nájera came through the Tigres academy, where he spent six years and racked up more than 15,000 minutes with the club's under-20 side, helping them reach the Apertura 2023 final. In May 2024 he left as a free agent for Atlético San Luis.
He made his professional debut for the club on 10 July 2024, in a 2-1 win over América. The move to San Luis put him in a system built on ties to a much bigger name: in November 2025, the Mexican club sent him on a season-long loan to Atlético Madrileño, Atlético Madrid's reserve side, as part of the strategic partnership between the two Atléticos. The deal carried no purchase option, and Nájera returned to San Luis in June 2026 once the loan expired.
At international level, his experience is limited to two appearances for Mexico's under-20 side, without scoring. He has not featured for the senior national team, and his honours list remains blank for now.
