Stefan Jovanović

The European nights came at TSC Bačka Topola. Jovanović has featured for the club in the UEFA Europa League and the UEFA Europa Conference League, at the end of a career assembled almost entirely in the lower reaches of Serbian football.

He started at Bane in 2013 and moved to Zvižd a year later. Then came a period of constant movement: Železničar Lajkovac and Radnički Pirot inside the same calendar year, 2016, followed by Zemun in 2017 and Mladost Lučani in 2018. OFK Bačka signed him twice, in 2018 and again in 2020, with a season at Proleter Novi Sad in between. Nine clubs in eight years, none of them for long.

He left in June 2024 and joined TSC on a free transfer, as he had done for every other significant move; no fee has been recorded against his name.

The record is otherwise unadorned. He has won no team honours — no Serbian SuperLiga title, no Serbian Cup — and has collected no individual awards. He has never been called up by Serbia at senior level, nor at under-19 or under-21. A defender who kept finding another club, and then found one that took him into Europe.
