About the player
Simon Stücker is a Silkeborg IF product through and through: the club describes him as a local boy, and his father, Jesper Stücker, is Silkeborg's sporting director. That connection has followed him since his school days at the Talent Team programme at Sølystskolen in the city.
Stücker moved up from Silkeborg's under-19 side into the first-team squad on 1 July 2025, a transfer within the club rather than a market deal, since no fee was disclosed for an academy graduate. He now wears the number 28 shirt in the Danish Superliga.
His senior involvement so far has been modest but real: six appearances and 386 minutes on the pitch this season, with one assist to his name. The defender has also built a track record at youth international level, collecting 14 caps for Denmark's under-19s and six for the under-18s, including two appearances in qualifying for the 2026 European Under-19 Championship.
